About the Annual CGS Conference:

The Center for Global Studies sponsors an annual conference each Spring semester. The primary objective of the conference is to critically examine a central theme via the global lens. Each year, the Center for Global Studies seeks out both on and off campus partner organizations to ensure that the conference and it’s experts are held to the utmost academic and research standards. The annual conference is a 2-day event, with an afternoon/evening program taking place on one of the campuses of George Mason and a full-day program at a partner institution in Washington, D.C. This model has ensured that the Center is able to connect with multiple audiences including researchers, academics, think-tank experts, policy writers, government officials, NGOs,students, faculty and the general public.
