The Center for Global Studies and the School of Policy, Government and International Affairs at George Mason University are proud to host a lunch-time conversation with a number of Members of the European Parliament, from the Parliament’s Constitutional Affairs Committee (AFCO) on Wednesday, November 4, from 12:00-1:30pm in Founders Hall 602.
Brief presentations and discussions will explore similarities and differences between U.S. federalism and the emerging EU constitutional system. Three featured experts from Mason will present the following topics for discussion:
- Professor Tim Conlon, “Differentiated Dis-Integration in US Federalism: A Mirror Image of the EU?”
- Professor Jim Pfiffner “The US Presidency: Centralization in the White House”
- Professor Jennifer Victor: “Congressional Caucuses and EP Intergroups: Similarities and Differences”
