Individual Faculty Research Grants
2016-2017

The Center for Global Studies (CGS) offers financial support of up to $2,500 for Mason faculty to engage in scholarly research on global affairs, broadly understood to include business, cultural, economic, political, technological and/or scientific developments. The purpose of the award is to help generate innovative thinking, approaches, and new directions in the area of global studies. Awards may be used to cover research expenses (including travel and research assistance) incurred during the fiscal year July 2016-June 2017. The application deadline is Friday, April 8, 2016. Faculty Workshop Grants
2016-2017

The Center for Global Studies (CGS) offers financial support of up to $7,500 for one-day workshops, held during the 2016-2017 academic year, for faculty and advanced graduate students to engage in intensive interdisciplinary study of a clearly defined global topic, with a view to generating innovative thinking, approaches, or new directions in the area of global studies. Awards may be used to cover expenses such as travel, honoraria, food/beverage, and multimedia. The application deadline is Friday, April 8, 2016.
