Bahamas Environmental Research Center
The Bahamas Environmental Research Center is a living laboratory on Andros Island. The Center promotes an understanding of how the island’s natural wonders are enmeshed in people’s cultural heritage. Ecology students, teachers, and local residents investigate questions of biodiversity, bio-prospecting, conservation, preservation, cultural property rights, and other environmental science issues.
