Franklin Fellowship – U.S. Department of State

George Mason University is an inaugural partner in the U.S. Department of State’s new Franklin Fellowship program. This initiative provides opportunities for experts from academia and the private sector to spend a year or more working at the State Department and directly applying their expertise to the foreign policy process.

All full-time faculty at Mason are eligible to apply for the Franklin Fellowships, and the selection process is administered by the Center. Information will be available on the website when our next selection cycle (anticipated Jan-May 2008) begins.

In the meantime, more information is available from the State Department’s own website for the Franklin Fellows program.

Visiting Scholars
